Danielle goes cruising.
Today my cruise paperwork arrived in the mail and I am so excited! A friend gave me the idea to blog about it. As I mentioned in my previous post, I am going on a Western Caribbean cruise for spring break with I.Gar. My trip will be March 10-19th (2 nights in Miami and 7 nights on the ship). I've never cruised before, but I always hear good things. We'll be on the Explorer of the Seas from the Royal Caribbean cruise line. The price is rather reasonable as well since it includes all of our food, etc. We will have four different stops: (1) Belize City, Belize (2) Costa Maya, Mexico (3) Cozumel, Mexico and (4) Grand Caymen.
So far I.Gar and I have booked two excursions. In Belize we are going ziplining through the rainforest and cave tubing. Cut and paste this link for details: http://www.royalcaribbean.com/shoreExcursions/product/detail/view.do;jsessionid=0000GQHwzEKss-Y0LddNRVPiaXV:10ktdmm42?sourcePage=shorexByPort&ProductCode=BE51&DestinationCode=CARIB
In Grand Caymen we are going snorkeling at three different sites including a reef and the famous Stingray city. The stingrays are actually very tame and enjoy people. They all congregate on this giant sandbar. Apparently it's like walking around on an underwater beach where the water is always 3-4 feet deep. We will get to pet the stingrays and everything! I bought an underwater camera for the excursion. We travel between all the snorkeling sites on a 50-foot catamaran. I absolutely cannot wait. Here is some more information on this excursion: http://grandcaymancruiseexcursions.com/Stingray_City_Buccaneer_Catamaran.htm
If we book anymore excursions I will be sure to let you know. I definitely want to spend a day on the beach which shouldn't require any booking. I guess Costa Maya is a good place to do that. If anyone has any advice that way, please let me know!
Ah, only one month more to wait! Yipee!

Shame on Danielle...
Oh seriously, it has been so long since I've last blogged that I actually forgot my username and password! Don't worry blog fans, as you can obviously see, I've finally remembered. Do you like how I assume that I still have blog fans out there? Oh goodness. Hi Leah...anyone else? Hello? Hello? Just kidding. Well, if you are reading this, welcome back! I'm sorry it has been so long since I've written. It's hard to keep up with these things during school. That and everything is in such flux right now...life is changing again! I am so excited =)
I'm finally in my last semester of school. I will graduate in May and take the MN bar exam in July. Job hunting now takes a great deal of my time. I mixed feelings on the task that range from excitement to annoyance to desperation, lol. I am looking for positions in the Twin cities, which is proving harder than I had ever expected.
I am VERY excited for Spring break because I will be taking a caribbean cruise with my Irishman. Yipee! At first I felt a little guilty about travelling for Spring break when I spent the entire summer abroad, however, I finally reasoned that this is my last spring break (ever!) and I deserve to go somewhere hot and sunny. We will be travelling to Belize (ziplining through the rain forrest and cave tubing!), Costa Maya, Cozumel, and Grand Caymen. I've never done a tropical vacation before so I am very excited. I am also looking forward to making fun of I.Gar's sunburn. Poor Irishman, lol.
In just a short week and a half I will be in Virginia Beach, VA for the National Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition. I am very excited to compete on a national level. I'm also very excited to see Virginia Beach! I will be sure to blog about my experience later.
As you can see I have lots of exciting things on the horizon! Additionally, I will be moving to the cities at the end of May in order to take BarBri (a Bar review course). My very generous aunt and uncle are putting me up while I study and take the test. I am really looking forward to seeing them! Hopefully by then I will have secured a job as well and can begin searching for an apartment. So much excitement!
Anyhoo, I promise to write some more this semester. Thanks for your patience!
